69 The View from the “Shrine Gate in the Sky”, a Must-See Power Spot

At the end of the stairs beneath the torii temple gate, located at an altitude of 404 meters, awaits an incredible sprawling view of the 2km-wide Ariake Coast, the Ishizuchi Mountains, and the city of Kan-onji. The main shrine of Takaya Shrine, worshipped since antiquity as one of the shrines of Sanuki Engi, has a gate sometime called the “Shrine Gate in the Sky”. Roads leading to Mt. Inazumi have been established to make experiencing this stunning view by car even easier.
