67 Honenike Dam, Which Looks Just Like a Medieval European Castle
Built in 1929, this is the oldest and only five-arched multiple arch dam in Japan, with beautiful linked arches and massive stone masonry, creating a powerful sight that lets you feel the history of Sanuki, which has struggled with low rainfall. In front of the dam is a lawn space where you can get an up-close look. You can also go just below the dam and look up at the arches from directly below for some interesting angles.
