30 Suishobuchi where you can enjoy Niyodo Blue in Yasui Valley
Behold the “Niyodo Blue” of the Yasui River, flowing from the forests of the Ishizuchi Mountains, Western Japan’s highest peaks. River stones tinged with blue and crystal-clear waters reminiscent of the heavens extend for more than 10 km. The best place to see Niyodo Blue is Crystal Deep, where the water grows bluer the deeper it goes. Pathways here are made using local stone, with stone fences built in consideration of the landscape. Located within the valley is Horaiso, which welcomes visitors with dining options and accommodations.
